The concept and story behind the Yarning Circles designed HIVIS Shirts and apparel —
“Yarning circles have been used by First Nations people since the beginning of time and it continues to be an important process with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture. A Yarning circle is a practice of speaking and listening from the heart.
It is a collaborative way to communicate in a respectful place without judgement. Dialogue allows all to grow in mutual understanding, experience and knowledge. Culturally, It builds respectful relationships and is used to preserve
and pass on cultural knowledge.” — Luke Penrith

DownloadLuke Penrith Arts & Designs are passionate about giving back to Community and collaborating on projects that see funds go back to grassroots programs and programs. Most recently this has included the design of work shirts for Next Gen, part of the Snowy Hydro 2.0 project - with staff encouraged to donate back to Community projects in Brungle, NSW.
Luke Penrith Arts & Designs uses many different mediums, such as clay, acrylics, and pastels. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. Custom Aboriginal artworks are available to meet your needs - from the boardroom to the fleet signage and more. We are happy to work with you to design something truly unique and meaningful.
The Wiradjuri Gugar is Luke’s family’s spiritual emblem. Totems define peoples’ roles and responsibilities. The artwork on our shirts represents his four family bloodlines and cultural connections across South Eastern Australia.
We pay our respects to the traditional owners of the land, elders past, present and emerging. For they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and aspirations of Aboriginal Australia. We must always remember that under the concrete and asphalt this land Is, Was and Always Will Be Traditional Aboriginal Land.
